Moong Dal Poori

                                       Moong Dal Poori Recipes


                            Usually poori is the most kids favorite,they like very much too eat. Moong dal poori is one of my friend recipe.Really it gave very different taste,like masala poori. So i decided to prepare and my kids also love to eat. Moong dal has lots of protein values and it is good for health also. 




Ingredients needed



  • Moong dal - 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour/Maida - 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Spring Onion - 1 tsp(finely chopped)
  • Hing - pinch
  • Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger -1 inch piece(optional)
  • Salt - to taste
  • oil - for deep fry

Method


  1. Soak the moong dal for 2 hours and keep it aside.After 2 hours,in a mixer add soaked moong dal,cumin seeds,spring onions,ginger(optional) and make a paste.
  2. In a big bowl,take the flour and add ground paste,chili powder,hing and salt.Mix well.Add water and make a soft dough like a usual poori dough.
  3. Make a poori using poori maker and deep fry them in a oil. 
  4. Serve with usual potato kurma.Really it is too yummy. 



Note-


  • Before you grind,Moong dal should be soak.So that you can grind smooth paste.
  • For kids you can add black pepper instead of chili powder.
  • For kids you can reduce the spiciness also.
